Caves del Aguila

Caves del Águila near Arenas de San Pedro (Grutas del Aguila) NE of Trujillo 137 kms (85 miles) A5/AV910.

The amazing prehistoric limestone caves were discovered in December 1963 by 5 young boys. These caves or grottos display a fascinating formation of stalactites and stalagmites.

The cave is 20 meters high and remains at a constant temperature of 20 degrees C all year round.

An interesting day visit or perhaps on your way back to Madrid Airport.
