Pizarro Trujillo

See what some of our guests and the press have to say about Trujillo and their stays with us:

Henry & Sophie July 2010

A lovely, cool and spacious house set in delectable gardens with wonderful views and sunsets across the unspoilt Extremaduran countryside. And at the same time you are within the walls of one of Spain's most historic and interesting towns,5 minutes walk through medieval and renaissance streets from the ravishing Plaza Mayor.

Alex & Anne August 2010

You could spend a week in Trujillo alone with its maze of streets, the lure of the buildings and churches and the slow, relaxed pace of life. The Villa is magnificent, the garden and views spectacular. This is affordable luxury at its best.

Dan & Sally Aug 09

´´Trujillo is a truly magical and unique town which was matched by Casa de los Moritos. Perched on top of the town, with the most spectacular sunsets imaginable, the casa and its terraced gardens was the centre for a holiday that we will never forget.

It is the perfect base to explore from and also a wonderful family retreat where we could all relax away from the hustle and bustle of daily life back in the UK. Nobody can decide what we liked best - the pool, the gardens, the hidden location, the people of Trujillo . . . unfortunately you have set the bar rather high for future holidays. Thank you for a wonderful week and we very much hope to see you again before too long.´´

Toni & Valerie April 09

´´The villa is beautifully situated, luxurious, spacious and perfect for an extended family. The kitchen, games room, pool and beautiful patios have everythiing you could want. Although, the weather was not very kind, the log fires were just great. The town of Trujillo has lots of character and interest with many excellent restaurants, and festivals going on. The region itself has lots to offer. Parking is easier than it looks on your first navigation through the one-way system.´´

Michael & Carolyn August 08

´´We had a memorable family holiday. We loved the property, especially its location by the church, the drawing room, the pool, the view and the sunsets. We greatly valued the friendship extended by the Garton family. We love Trujillo, enjoyed eating out and even shopping. We had great excursions to Caceres and in search of great bustards and black vultures. I feel sure that we will return.

Nigel June 08

´´Delightful house and private garden -pool a real bonus in the heat after a days motorbiking. Thoroughly recommend the property as well as Trujillo and surrounding area´

Nick & Sarah July 07

"What a lovely discovery Trujillo is!" ´´I think Extremadura is exceptionally interesting. I loved going to Caceres, for instance and exploring Trujillo itself. The relationship of the house to the town is ideal for young teenagers. It gives them just the right sense of freedom but security, i.e. the ability to drop down into the town on their own and make their own way back. That can also be balanced with a nice relaxing holiday for adults in a house that exudes quality and comfort from every stone. NG´´
